HiBase Group offers a line of seperately available tools to repair, view, edit, and convert DBF files and convert Paradox files. Current products include:
- DBF Viewer 2000 is a viewer and editor for DBF files (Clipper, dBase, FoxBase, Foxpro, Visual Foxpro, Visual DBase, VO, DB2K, etc.). With DBF Viewer 2000, you can view, edit, sort, query by example, delete duplicates, create, print database tables and export the data from them to a variety of formats (DBF, TXT, CSV, Excel, HTML, XML, PRG, SQL, RTF) without using any packages.
The program also allows for the viewing and editing of memo fields in dBase III, dBase IV, FoxPro, VFP and DB2K formats.
DBF Viewer 2000 does not require external drivers for connection to databases (ODBC, BDE).
- DBF Converter is a conversion program with a wizard-like interface, and can also be used as a command-line utility for batch file processing. DBF Converter supports multiple interchange formats, such as XML, CSV, TXT, HTML, RTF, PRG and others. You can also convert your DBF table into a set of SQL queries that can be imported into any SQL database.
In addition to conversions, DBF Converter allows you manipulate data by selecting only specific columns and applying filters. DBF Converter dynamically builds a sample database record form, and features the ability to put masks and rules into any field of the sample record.
- DBF Recovery is designed for anyone who wants to restore a damaged or corrupted DBF file. The application supports file formats used by database management systems such as Clipper, Dbase III/IV, Foxbase, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Visual dBase Level 7 and others.
The recovery engine can restore database headers and data structures as well. The recovery procedure is automated and does not require manual interference from the user. Recovery also requires no external drivers for operation.
DBF Recovery supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 and Vista operating systems.
- Paradox Converter enables users to convert Paradox files (DB files) to other formats, such as DBF, XLS (MS Excel), CSV, HTML, or SQL. To do so, the program offers a GUI interface where you set the source and output folders and then specify the output settings.
Users can set up a filter for each field. It's also possible to sort by export.
The converter supports batch conversion that lets users convert an unlimited number of DB files to another format unattended. Command line support is also included.
Paradox Converter does not require external drivers for connection to databases (ODBC, BDE).
