AstroMark suite allows developers to create E-Commerce web applications. The suite is comprised of three major programs: AstroDesigner, a point and click interface for creating database Web pages; AstroServer, the application server Middleware or Web Server; and AstroMark, the database page browser.

As a database helper application, AstroMark browser works symbiotically with HTML browsers to provide database data. AstroMark's pages look like any other Windows application, so it can also be integrated with existing desktop applications in a way that's transparent to the user. Its pages can run on the desktop, LAN, WAN, or over the Web.

AstroMark supports all popular database types, including ODBC and encapsulated server databases (SQL server databases). AstroMark reduces network traffic by caching database data on the client computer, thereby enabling real time data browsing without Dynamic HTML. The user's state can be automatically maintained indefinitely.

As middleware, AstroServer can work with all other Web servers. As a Web Server it can perform standard HTML server functions. AstroServer includes most database functions and operations that CGI scripts would be required to perform. No knowledge of Java, Javascript, CGI, Perl, or ActiveX is needed.
