Contour Components' products line focuses primarily on data access, analysis, and reporting via OLAP tools. Current offerings include:
- ContourCube is an OLAP component for interactive reporting and data analysis. It offers embeddable OLAP technology for all Windows and Web applications based on relational data. Applications powered with ContourCube allow users to create nicely-formed screens and printable reports. User can interact with data: slice and dice, drill down and roll up, without an additional server.
ContourCube enables you to embed Business Intelligence functionality into native windows or Web applications and distribute the application royalty-free. ContourCube can get data from any data source via ADO, BDE, ODBC and unbound data source.
- Contour CubeMaker produces Contour microcubes - multidimensional databases that contain both data and metadata describing the user interface layouts. These cubes can then be transferred via the Internet or attached to an E-mail message for use in a ContourCube application providing interactive analysis and reporting. Using Contour CubeMaker in conjunction with your ContourCube powered application allows you to create and update Web pages that provide data filtering and summarizing capabilities to a wide range of users, Windows applications for corporate users, Internet/intranet sites with downloadable microcubes, or mailing systems for report distribution.
- Contour OLAPBrowser is Web-oriented software for data access, analysis and interactive reporting on a single PC, on the local network or on the Web. It provides a multi-windowed user interface for viewing interactive reports, Web pages and MS Office documents. With OLAPBrowser users can slice and dice through data, make graphical analysis, and configure and print multiple reports.
Contour OLAPBrowser gets data and reports from Contour microcubes. The OLAPBrowser interface is based on MS Internet Explorer; Users can type the URL of the microcube they want in the Address bar or click a link on the Web page to receive a pack of the company's reports.
Example uses include global and enterprise information delivery systems, OLAP solutions for workgroups, Executive Information Systems, and personal analytical applications.
